Dear Friends,

Our son, Christopher Saathoff, was taken from us abruptly by the recklessness of a drunken driver. We sadly know all too well the grief and sorrow related to losing a loved one. In the days following Christopher's death we worked to find a way to honor his life and create a legacy of giving that would live on forever in his name. We have chosen to focus on helping children and supporting Chris's true love — music.

Through friends, we recently discovered the work being done at Judi's House in Denver, Colorado. The founder, Brian Griese, is pursuing a vision of creating a community in which no child has to feel alone in their grief. The mission of Judi's House is to help children and families who are grieving the death of a loved one find hope and healing within themselves. Within the house there is an environment of acceptance and understanding where kids can share their feelings and realize they are not alone. This place touched our hearts and we knew Chris would have been proud to support it. This is a place where we can make a difference in a child's life at the most difficult time.

We invite you to join us in our support of Judi's House. We have set up The Christopher Saathoff Fund at The Denver Foundation, a designated fund to provide annual support for this wonderful place. The fund will live on as a legacy of Chris forever and will help children and their families cope with loss.

The Denver Foundation will help us administer and manage the fund, directing our contributions to support the continuing efforts at Judi's House. You can make your tax deductible donations to The Christopher Saathoff Fund and be assured that you are helping a child or family deal with the devastation of the loss of a loved one.

The world is less of a place without Chris's presence. He was an intelligent young man with a kind and gentle soul as well as a passion and talent for music. All who knew Chris, loved him and he is missed by so many wonderful friends and family. Thank you for your friendship and support of our efforts.
